Dutch Springs Aqua Park

Dutch Springs Aqua Park is a small lakeside water park in Bethlehem that is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. All the park slides are inflatables and include the "Water Totter", "Aqua Jump", "Log Roll" and the "X-Isle" and "Aqua Tower" slides. Other features include "Aqua Mats" and the "Saturn" and "Icebergs" climbing structures. Scuba diving and watercraft rentals are also available.

Dutch Wonderland

Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex is a 48-acre park designed for children under twelve years of age. Located in Lancaster, it is open May through October and includes over 30 rides and attractions, miniature golf and the Duke's Lagoon kiddy water park, complete with slides, tipping bucket and play structure.

A giant castle with café and gift shop serves as an entrance to the park. Family rides include a monorail, riverboat cruise and "Ripcord" along with the "Joust Family Coaster and the "Kingdom" coaster. Water rides include the "Double Splash Flume" and "Pipeline Plunge". Children's rides include a carousel, "Choo Choo Charlie", "Wiggle Racers" and the "Ferris Windmill".

Dutch Wonderland also features strolling entertainment and dancers along with several live shows throughout the park like "Storytime with the Princess" and "Beyond The Castle Walls" show at Storytime Corner. The Really Useful Theater hosts "Thomas and Friends Live" show as well as the "Funsation Celebration" interactive dance party that includes all the characters of the park. There is also "Adventures of the Frog Prince" high-dive show at Herr's Aqua Stadium.

Hersheypark is a 110-acre theme park in Hershey that is open May through September. It includes over 60 rides and attractions, including arcades, live entertainment and a 4-acre water playground. Hersheypark also includes eleven roller coasters and over two dozen children's rides. The park is divided into the nine areas listed below:

Tudor Square is the first area guests encounter when arriving at the park. It features several eateries, a gift shop and Hershey's Chocolate House.

Rhineland also includes several restaurants, gift shops and a meet and greet area where guests can have their photo taken with the Hershey Kiss, Hershey Bar and Reese Cup.

Founder's Circle features several family rides that include a carousel, "Dinosaur-Go-Round", the "Scrambler" and "Starship America". Kiddie rides include the "Amtrak Tiny Track", "Mini Himalaya", "Space Age" and "Traffic Jam".

Comet Hollow is home to the "SooperDooperLooper", "Comet", "Wave Swinger" and "Tilt-A-Whirl".

Minetown has eight great rides including the include the "Kissing Tower, "Flying Falcon", the "Coal Cracker" water ride and the "Great Bear" thrill coaster. Children's rides include the "Frog Hopper" and "Convoy".

Music Box Way features a dozen rides that include the "Tiny Timbers" mini flume ride along with the "Swing Thing", "Geico Fender Bender" and the monorail. Little ones will enjoy the "Dizzy Drums" and "Ladybug".

Pioneer Frontier hosts four of the park's roller coasters that include the "Storm Runner", "Fahrenheit", "Sidewinder" and "Trailblazer". Other rides include "The Claw", "Frontier Flyers", "Dry Gulch Railroad" and the "Mini Scrambler".

Midway America features the "Wildcat", "Wild Mouse" and "Lightning Racer" coasters. It also includes a miniature train, Ferris wheel, "Granny Bugs" and "Merry Derry Dip Fun Slides".

The Boardwalk is a 4-acre interactive water playground that features five distinctive water attractions, including the zero-entry "Bayside Pier" splash pool and the "Waverider" surfing attraction. Rides include "Tidal Force", the "Roller Soaker" water coaster and the four slides of the five-story "Coastline Plunge" complex. Also featured is the "Canyon River Rapids" raft ride.

Children's areas at The Boardwalk include the shallows of "Sandcastle Cove" and "East Coast Waterworks", the largest water-play structure in the world with seven slides and over 600 interactive water toys.

Hersheypark features several venues for live entertainment and hosts several summer concerts in the Amphitheatre. The Chevrolet Music Box Theatre features the "Lighting Strike" special effects music show and "Beyond the Dragon Gate". Music Box Way features "The Soda Pops" and "The Milkmen" music shows. Guests can also catch the shows "Never 2nd Fiddle" and "Wild Country" at the Hatfield Country Grill.

Idlewild & Soak Zone

Idlewild and Soak Zone is a classic amusement park located in Ligonier that is open May through September. Opened since 1878, it is the third oldest amusement park in the U.S. and is ranked as one of America's most beautiful theme parks and the #2 Best Kid's Park by Amusement Today. It features over 30 rides and attractions, live entertainment and a small water park. Idlewild consists of seven themed areas listed below:

Olde Idlewild features 14 classic amusement rides including the "Whip", "Flying Aces" and "Super Round Up" along with the "Rollo Coaster" and "Wild Mouse" coasters. Other rides include a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carousel and "Balloon Race". The Hillside Theater is also located here.

• The Soak Zone features 14 slides and a large family pool with tipping buckets and cones. Slides include the "Hydro Racers" and the "Pipeline Plunge" and "Rafter's Run" raft rides. Kids will enjoy the "Hydro Soakers" guns, "Little Squirts" kiddie pool and the six slides and interactive water features of Captain Kidd’s Adventure Galley.

Story Book Forest allows guest to walk through scenes of over 40 childhood fairy tales and meet some of their favorite characters.

Jumpin’ Jungle is a soft-play area that is home to a dozen kid-friendly activities including a three-story tree house with "Turbo Slide", Tarzan swing, rope bridge and web crawls. Kids can also jump into the "Bubbling Springs" ball pit or play a song on the "Jungle Organ".

• The Hootin’ Holler area has an "Old West” mining town theme and includes the "Paul Bunyan's Loggin' Toboggan" flume ride and the "Loyalhanna Limited Railroad". Other features include "Dizzy Lizzy's" and the "Confusion Hill" walk-through attraction.

Raccoon Lagoon is a 9-acre children's area that features over a dozen child-sized rides and attractions, pony rides and a stage for children’s shows.

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood of Make-Believe features all beloved characters from the children's TV show like Henrietta Pussycat and King Friday. Guests can take a life-sized trolley ride through America’s favorite neighborhood.

Kennywood is a 104-acre park that hails itself as "America's Finest Traditional Amusement Park". Founded in 1898 in West Mifflin near Pittsburgh, Kennywood is one of the country's few successful trolley parks and it is one of only two amusement parks designated a National Historic Landmark. It features live shows, boardwalk games, four arcades and over 30 rides and attractions. Kennywood is also known for its beautiful landscaping and scenery as well as park mascot, Kenny Kangaroo.

Kennywood is acclaimed for its collection of classic wood coasters that include the "Jackrabbit", "Thunderbolt" and the dueling wood coaster, "Racer". The park is also home to the "Steel Phantom", the world's fastest rollercoaster which also holds the record for the longest drop of any coaster along with the "Phantom's Revenge" steel coaster and the one-of-a-kind indoor coaster, the "Exterminator". Other thrill rides include "Cosmic Chaos", "Swingshot", "King Kahuna" and the "Pitt Fall" tower drop.

Guests can enjoy several classic carnival rides that include the "Olde Kennywood Railroad", "Wave Swinger", the "Whip" flat ride and the "Kangaroo". Water rides include the "Raging Rapids" raft ride and the "Pittsburg Plunge" and "Log Jammer" flumes. For 2008, Kennywood has added the interactive shoot-em-up adventure, "Ghostwood Estate", to its lineup of dark rides that also includes "Noah's Ark" and "Garfield's Nightmare".

Kids will also have a blast at Kiddieland which features over a dozen attractions perfect for beginning riders. Rides include the "Crazy Trolley", "Pounce Bounce", the "Whirlwind" swings and the "Lil' Phantom" kiddie coaster.
