Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & White Water Bay

The Six Flags Great Escape Lodge is a 200-suite Adirondack-themed family resort that also includes a 38,000 square-feet indoor water park, White Water Bay.

Located across the street from Six Flags Great Escape theme park, the resort is open year round and is the first hotel in New York with an indoor water park.

White Water Bay features eight attractions that include the “Soakum Springs” hot tub, “Tak-it-eesi-Creek“lazy river and the “Lott-a-watta-Bay” family activity pool.

Slides include the “Glacier Run” and “Snow Shoe Falls” tube slides and the “Avalanche” family raft ride. Kids will enjoy the Tip-A-Kanu-Beach” kiddie pool as well as the “Tall Timbers Treehouse” interactive plays structure that includes slides and tipping bucket. For an additional fee, guests can learn to surf on the “Boogie Bear Surf” FlowRider attraction.

Splashdown Beach

Splashdown Beach is a small water park in Highland that is open May through September. Attractions include a wave pool, the lazy “Crocodile Creek” and the “Gator Pond” and “Coconut Pool” family splash pools. Slides include the “Humunga Half Pipe”, the two tube slides of “Pirate’s Plunge” and the three slides of “Cowabunga Falls”. Kids will enjoy the inflatables of the “Blast Zone” water war area as well as the “Shipwreck Lagoon” interactive water playground. Other amenities include the arcade and soft play area of “Adventure Island”.

Splish Splash

Splish Splash is a 96-acre water park located near Long Island in Riverhead. Open from May through September, Splish Splash Water Park is rated one of the top five water parks in the country by the Travel Channel. It includes 17 slides and attractions including a lazy river, “Surf City” wave pool and live bird show.

Slides include the “Shotgun Falls” drop slide and the “Abyss”, “Dragons Den”, and “Splash Landing” tube slides. Body slides include “Barrier Reef” and the three slides of the “Giant Twister”. Thrill slides include the “Max Trax” and “Cliff Dive” vertical speed slides. The park also features “Mammoth River”, “Alien Invasion” and “Hollywood Stunt Driver” family raft rides.

Little ones will enjoy the “Octopus Pool” toddler pool and the fountains and geysers of the “Soak City” splash pool. Other children’s attractions include “Pirate’s Cove” and the slides, tipping bucket and shipwreck play structure of “Monsoon Lagoon”.

Thunder Island Family Entertainment Park

Thunder Island Family Entertainment Park is a small water park in Fulton that is open May through September. Water features include a lazy river, tube slide, two body slides and “Thunder Rush” funnel slide. Children’s slides include a mini river ride and mini twister slide. Other park amenities include a Ferris wheel, go-kart track and a miniature golf course.

Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink

Victorian Gardens is a small, traditional amusement park that operates on top of the Wollman Ice Rink property during the Spring and Summer months. Located within Central Park, it is open May through September and features daily live entertainment along with 15 rides and attractions aimed at children less than 12 years old. Rides include a “Kite Flyer”, “Rockin’ Tug”, “Family Swinger” swings and “Mini Mouse” kiddie coaster. Other attractions include the “Funslide” and the “Roll A Ball”, “Rising Waters” and “Whac-A-Mole” games.

Water Slide World

Water Slide World is a 12-acre water park located in Lake George that is open June through September. It features over 35 water slides and attractions, including the lazy “Amazon Adventure River” and the “Hurricane Harbor” wave pool.

Kids will enjoy the slides and water volleyball in “Treasure Island” activity pool while the little ones can enjoy the “Pirate Ship Cove” and “Aruba Scuba Duba Bay” toddler pools.

Slides include the “Blue Bombers”, “Tasmanian Twisters”, “Calypso Cascade” and “Pirate’s Plunge”. Other slides include “Lava Flow Mountain”, “Caribbean Cannonball” and the “Blue Tornado” funnel slide. Other amenities include a sand volleyball court.

Zoom Flume Water Park is a small park located in the northern Catskill Mountains in East Durham. Open June through September, it features a lazy river and the “Lagoon Activity Pool” children’s area with pipe falls, fountains and water umbrella. Slides include the “Mighty Anaconda”, “Black Vortex” dark slide, “Grand Prix Splashway” racers and the “Wild River Ride” white water raft ride.
