Dixie Landin' & Blue Bayou

Dixie Landin' is an 80-acre theme park in Baton Rouge that also includes the Blue Bayou Water Park.

This river town themed park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day and features a summer concert series, arcades, midway games and over two dozen carnival rides.

Dixie Landin' features several thrill rides, including the "Splinter" log flume and the "Hot Shot" tower drop.

Roller coasters include the "Gilbeau's Galaxi" family coaster, "Extreme" spinning coaster and the 14-story "Ragin' Cajun" coaster.

Family rides include the "Cajun Collision", "Over the Rainbow", "Black Widow" and the "Zydeco Express". The Kiddie Section of the park features the "Crop Dusters", "Drums of Fun" and "Old 99's".

Blue Bayou Water Park is include with price of admission and features a lazy river and the "Hurricane Bay" wave pool. It is also home to four of the world's largest water slides, the "Voodoo" dark Bohemethbowl slide, "Azuka" funnel slide, the "Racers" and the "Conja" inline raft slide.

Other slides include the "Mad Moccasin", "Flyin' Pirogue" and the "Lafitte's Plunge" speed slides. Children's play areas include the "Pirates Cove" interactive water play pool with pirate ship, water cannons, pipe falls and slides.

Hines Carousel Gardens Amusement Park

Hines Carousel Gardens is a small seasonal amusement park located within the City Park in New Orleans. The park has been open since 1906 and features an antique Looff and Carmel carousel as its centerpiece, one of only 100 of its kind left in the country.

The amusement park also features several other rides that include bumper cars, giant slide, Ferris wheel and an electric train that takes guests around the park. Other attractions include a "Scrambler", "Tilt-A-Whirl" and "Live Oak Lady Bug" roller coaster.

Water Town USA

Water Town USA is a 20-acre water park in Shreveport that is open May through September. It includes the “Buccaneer Bay" wave pool, the lazy “Lafitte's Lazy Bayou" and "Lagoon" family activity pool with the kiddie slides and "Cannonball" and "Pipe Line" drop slides.

Other slides include the "Atlantic Panic" and "Gulf Scream" enclosed slides and a slide tower featuring the "Banzai" speed slides and "Big Bends", "Black Hole" and "Flash Flood" enclosed slides.

Children’s play areas include the “Little Salts Harbor" water playground with pipe falls, bubblers and slides and nearby "Cap't John's Big Splash" tipping bucket. The park also features a water wars area and playground with "Gangplank" slide and "Buccaneer's Challenge".
