Adventureland Park & Kokomo Kove

Adventureland is a 180-acre family resort complex located in the Des Moines metro area in Altoona. The complex includes a hotel, campground and the Adventureland Amusement Park.

The amusement park is open May through September and features live shows, midway games, Kokomo Kove mini water park and over 100 rides and attractions spread throughout ten themed areas.

The park is home to four thrill coasters that include the "Dragon", "The Underground" runaway mine train and the "Outlaw" and "Tornado" wooden coasters.

Other thrill rides include the "G-Force", "Inverter" and "Space Shot" tower drop.

Water rides featured in the park include "Splash Over", "River Rapids" log flume and the "Raging River" and "Sawmill Splash" family raft rides.

Adventureland hosts several family rides for guests to enjoy that include the "Giant Skywheel", "Tea Cups" and "Balloon Race" and they can also ride around the park on the "A-Train". Younger guests can enjoy the kiddie rides available that include the "Lady Bugs", "Frog Hopper" and "Red Baron" planes.

Kokomo Kove water playground is included with park admission and boasts a six-story play structure with hundreds of interactive water features, including water cannons, tipping buckets and water umbrellas. The structure also includes bridges, tunnels and seven slides.

Arnold's Park

Arnold's Park is a 21-acre classic amusement park located on the shores of Lake Okoboji. Opened in 1889, it is one of the world's longest operating amusement parks and is open May through September. The park hosts summer concerts and festivals and features midway games and over two dozen rides and attractions.

Arnold's Park is home to the famous "Legend" roller coaster, the 13th oldest wooden coaster in America, along with several other attractions like the "Scrambler", "Trabant", "Rock-O-Plane" and the "Long Lines Limited Train". Guests can also take a ride on the log flume or take a spin around the go-kart track at the "Arnold's Park Raceway".

For a bit of history, guests can visit the adjacent Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum as well as board the Queen II Excursion Boat for an hour-long tour of the lakes. Beach access and watercraft rental are also available.

The Beach Ottumwa

The Beach Ottumwa is a 13-acre municipal water park in Ottumwa with both indoor and outdoor facilities. The indoor portion is open year round and features an 8-lane lap pool with large tube slide. The outdoor portion is open May through September and includes a wave pool, "Rage" speed slide and "Twister" family slide. It also features the "Otters Den" children's play pool with play structure, interactive water features and two slides.

'Boji Splash at Bridges Bay Resort

'Boji Splash is a 20,000 square-foot indoor facility located within the Bridges Bay Resort in Arnolds Park. This tropical themed facility is open year round and includes and two slides, splash pool and lazy river along with a family leisure pool with lily pad walk. Children’s play areas include kiddie pool, pirate ship and a multi-level interactive water play fort with slides, water umbrellas, tipping bucket and water basketball area.
