Pier Park is a small lakeside amusement park located along the shores of Lake Michigan within the 50 acres of gardens, shops, restaurants of Navy Pier Park. Attractions include a carousel, Ferris wheel, “Wave Swinger” swing ride and the bouncing “Light Tower Hopper”. Other features include an 18-hole miniature golf course.

Pirates' Cove Children's Theme Park is a small amusement park dedicated to children under ten years old. Open from June through August, it features an antique carousel, an authentic 18th century Pirate Ship and paddle boat rides on Pebble Pond. Kids can take a ride on the “Safari Express” train or board the “Eureka Train Ride” and travel to the old “Eureka Mine”. The “Castle of Camelot” attraction features a climbing maze of tunnels, nets, tires, and tubes and is located near “Misty, The Smoking Breathing Dragon” slide. Other attractions include the “Smugglers Crag” 20-foot high climbing wall and the “Pirate Plunge” giant slide.

Pottawatomie Pool is a small municipal water park located with the park district of St. Charles. It is open from May through September and a diving pool with drop slide and a family activity pool with two slides, fountains, tipping buckets and interactive water features. Other amenities include a children's sand play area.

Raging Rivers is a 20-acre municipal water park located in Grafton. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, it features the lazy “Endless River”, “Breaker Beach” wave pool and two children’s play areas. Slides include the “Shark” and “Runaway Rafts” tube rides and the “Swirl Pool” funnel ride. Other slides include the two flumes of the “Cascades” and the music and lights of the “Disco Falls” slide. Little ones will enjoy the mini slides of ”Itty Bitty Surf City” while the older kids will enjoy the tipping bucket, ropes, slides and interactive water features of “Tree House Harbor”.

Rainbow Falls Waterpark is a small park that is open from May through September. It features the “Barracuda Bowl” vortex pool and the “Sunfish Bay” leisure pool that includes the “Lily Pad Leap” walk and the “Dolphin Drop” drop slide. Guests can ride the four slides of the ‘Calypso Twist” or travel to “Iguana Island” and float along the lazy “Raging Reptile River”. Children’s areas include the “Coqui Frog Pond” kiddie pool and the “Pelican’s Peak” three-story funhouse that includes interactive water features and the “Pelican Plunge” slide.

Riverside Aquatic Center is a small municipal water park located in Moline. Open June through August, it features a zero-entry activity pool that includes the “Riverside Riverslides” and a multi-level play structure with pipe falls, waterfalls and mini slide. Other amenities include sand volleyball courts.
