The city of Gurnee features two small water parks located within its park district. Hunt Club Park is open from May through September while Gowe Beach is open from June through August.
Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center in Gurnee Park features a lap pool and a large zero-entry activity pool that includes an interactive play area with waterfalls, pipe falls and water cannons. The activity pool also features five large slides and two kiddie slides. Other amenities include a water sprayground and kid’s volleyball court.

Gowe Beach is a 3-acre spring-fed water park located in Gowe Memorial Park. Attractions include a sand beach with interactive water playground and two-story waterslide. Guests may also enjoy taking a ride on the nearby paddleboats and water bikes. Other area amenities include a playground, sand volleyball court and the “Aqua Mountain” climbing structure.

Haunted Trails Amusement Park is a small park in Burbank that is open year-round with free admission and parking. Attractions include miniature golf, go-karts, arcades, batting cages and a few kiddie rides.

Hollywood Fun Park is a small indoor/door amusement park that is open year-round. Indoor attractions include bumper cars, arcade and the “Kit's Playhouse” two-story kid's area. Kiddie rides include a carousel, “Lil’ Hoop Shot” and ”Quack Attack as well as the “Bulldozer”, “Helicopter” and “Ice Cream Truck” rides. The outdoor area features a giant slide, trampoline bungee, rock climbing wall and two miniature golf courses.

Itasca Waterpark is a small Caribbean-themed park that is open from June through September. It includes a large activity pool with a large slide and interactive water features Other amenities include sand play area and volleyball court.

Joliet's Splash Station is a small water park that is open from June through August. Attractions include the “Tumbleweed Pass” sand play area, the “Raging Rapids Ravine” lazy river and the “Pelican Pond” zero-entry activity pool with mini slide and play structure. Slides include the “Hot Shot” and “Rattler” body slides and the “Gauntlet” and “Tunnel” tube slides. Other slides include the six-lane racers of “Miner's Mountain”.

Knight's Action Park is a 62-acre recreational park located in Springfield that includes the Caribbean Water Adventure water park and Route 66 drive-in theater. The park includes a putting green, driving range and two 18-hole miniature golf courses that are open year-round.
Other attractions include an arcade, batting cages, go-karts, “Big Wheel” Ferris wheel and children's activity area with kiddie rides. The park also features two large picnic facilities, a baseball diamond, horseshoe pits and a volleyball court.
Caribbean Water Adventure is located next to Knight's Action Park and includes a wave pool and the “Caribbean Wild River”. Slides include a three-flume waterslide, the “Royal Flush” funnel slide and the “Devil Ray”. The small water park also features the “Seal Bay” and “Submarine Pool” kiddie activity pools that include mini slides and waterfalls. Guests can take to the lake at the edge of Caribbean Water Adventure on pedal boats and bumper boats.
