Lake Compounce & Splash Harbor

Lake Compounce is a 332-acre theme park in Bristol that opened in 1846 and holds the record for the longest continuously operated amusement park in the United States.

The park is open may through October and features live stage shows, Garfield-themed children's area and over 35 rides and attractions.

It also includes a 28-acre lake with beach and Splash Harbor Water Park.

Lake Compounce is home to several thrill rides that include the "Wildcat" and "Zoomerang" coasters and the world-famous "Boulder Dash" wooden roller coaster and "Thunder N' Lightning" pendulum ride.

Family rides include "Pirate Ship", "Wave Swinger" and "Ghost Hunt" dark ride as well as the "Thunder Rapids" and "Saw Mill Plunge" water rides.

The park's children's area, Garfield's Circus World, features ten rides just for guests under the age of ten. Kids can ride a carousel, bumper cars, swings and the "Wildkitten" coaster. Guests of all ages can enjoy a trip around the park on the trolley or "Lake Railroad" or take a ride up the mountainside on the "Sky Ride".

Splash Harbor water park is included with park admission and includes the "Anchor Bay" lazy river as well as a wave pool. The wave pool also features the "Clipper Cove" children's play area with Pirate Ship, play structure, slides, tipping bucket and interactive water features. Slides include the "Lights Out" speed slide, "Lake Plunge" tube slide and the "Mammoth Falls" family raft ride.

Ocean Beach Park

Ocean Beach Park is a 50-acre seaside amusement park in New London that is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Attractions include an arcade, miniature golf, children's playground and a few kiddie rides. The park also features an Olympic-size pool with slides, beach access and a half mile boardwalk.

Quassy Amusement Park & Saturation Station

Quassy Amusement Park is a 20-acre park along Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury that is open April through October.

The park features over 25 rides and attractions along with a large indoor arcade and the Quassy Beach and Saturation Station water play areas.

Classic amusement rides include a carousel, "Tilt-A-Whirl", and "Trabant" along with the "Monster" roller coaster and the "Big Flush" water coaster.

Kids can have fun riding the "Frog Hopper", "Flying Dragon" and "Mini Himalaya" as well as the park's two big slides.

Saturation Station water playground features a giant climbing structure with pipe falls, slides, tipping bucket and interactive water features. This area also includes the two "Tunnel Twister" water slides and the lakeside Quassy Beach.
