Alabama Adventure
Alabama Adventure is a 200-acre entertainment complex formerly known as Visionland. Located outside of Birmingham, it opened its doors for the first time in May of 1998 as the first theme park in Alabama and is the number two tourist destination in the state. Alabama Adventure includes two parks - Magic Adventure Theme Park and Splash Beach Water Park.
• Magic Adventure Theme Park comes complete with more than 25 classic rides that include a skylift, swings as well as great roller coasters. It receives rave reviews from roller coaster enthusiasts who tout Alabama Adventure as being the best roller coaster theme park in the Southern United States.
Some of the most popular rides include the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Alabama called “Rampage”, a 185 foot launching tower named "Space Shot", and a boomerang style roller coaster named "Zoomerang". New additions include a new ride called "Vertigo", which flips passengers upside down and spins around as it rises through the air.
• Splash Beach Water Park is a 7-acre park with the centerpiece being the impressive Castaway Island play area where the beach is comprised of 1,200 tons of white sand from the Gulf Coast. Features include a lazy river, wave pool and a 90-foot free fall slide called the “Acapulco Drop”.
In addition to new rides in the existing theme park and water park, plans are in the works for an animal park, RV park, a sports complex and stock car racing area.
Alabama Adventure offers separate admission tickets to each park or you can purchase a ticket that includes admission to both Magic Adventure and Splash Beach.

Emerald Falls
Emerald Falls is a small amusement park that is open year-round and includes an arcade, Go-Karts, paintball, batting cages, bumper boats and a miniature golf course.

J. Gilmer Blackburn Aquatic Center
J. Gilmer Blackburn Aquatic Center is a small water park located within Point Mallard Park in Decatur. Built along the banks of Flint Creek, it is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It features America’s first wave pool as well as an Olympic-size pool.
Slides include the two towering slides of the “Sky Pond”, as well as a three-flume waterslide and the “Pro Bowl”. Little ones can enjoy the “Squirt Factory” water sprayground and the “Duck Pond Kiddie Pool” with mini-slides, waterfall umbrella and rocking frogs.

Southern Adventures Amusement Park & Adventure Island Water Park
Southern Adventures is a medium-sized amusement park and water park located in Huntsville. The amusement park is open year-round and includes two miniature golf courses, go-carts, bumper cars, a rock climbing wall and a roller coaster simulator. Carnival rides like “Sling Shot”, “G-Force” and “Twister”. Other attractions include an arcade and batting cages.
