Bear Track Landing is an 80,000-square foot indoor water park located within The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord. This year round facility stays a constant 84 degrees and includes an arcade, spa, and miniature golf course, along with the "Crooked Creek" lazy river and "Beaver Tail Lake" wave pool. Slides include the "Alberta Falls" and "Lookout Mountain" tube slides, the two "Totem Towers" slides and "Mineshaft" body slide. Other attractions include a family raft ride and the six-story "Howlin' Tornado" funnel slide. Kids can also have fun at the "Chinook Cove" sports activity pool, as well as the four-story treehouse, "Fort Mackenzie'. This water fort comes complete with a tower, slides, climbing nets and interactive water features. It also includes a four-story dumping bucket that pours 1000 gallons of water several times an hour. Burlington Amusement Park is a small municipal park that is open March through October. Located within the City Park, it features a few kiddie rides that include an antique carousel, "Red Baron" plane ride along with boat and train rides.

Carowinds is a 108-acre theme park in Charlotte that is a part of the Cedar Fair family of theme parks. Located on the North and South Carolina border, it is open March through November and features over 60 world-class rides, shows and attractions, including 7 roller coasters, Nickelodeon Central children's area and Boomerang Bay Water Park. Roller coasters include the "Nighthawk", "Carolina Cyclone" and "Thunder Road" racing coasters along with the "Afterburn" inverted coaster and the "Vortex" stand-up coaster. Other coasters include the "Hurler" wooden coaster and the Family coasters, "Ricochet" and "Carolina Goldrusher" mine train. Other thrill rides include the "Xtreme Skyflyer" and "Drop Tower" and the "Scream Weaver" gondolas and "Southern Star" Viking ship.
Water rides include the "WhiteWater Falls" flume ride and the "Rip Roarin' Rapids" raft ride. Family rides include the "Yo-Yo", "Kaleidoscope" and "Dodge 'Ems" bumper cars. Other family attractions include "Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion" and the "SpongeBob SquarePants - 3D" movie.
Nickelodeon Central children's area features meet and greets with favorite Nickelodeon characters as well as 16 rides and attractions. It includes the three kiddie coasters, "Rugrats Runaway Reptar", Hey Arnold's Taxi Chase" and the "Fairy Odd Coaster". Other attractions include the "Backyardigans Swing-A-Long", "Little Bill's Cruisers" and the "Wild Thornberrys River Adventure".
Boomerang Bay is a 20-acre water Aussie themed park that is included with the price of admission. Attractions include the "Crocodile Run" lazy river, zero-entry "Kookaburra Bay" lagoon and "Bondi Beach" and "Great Barrier Reef" wave pools. Slides include the "Awesome Aussie Twisters" and four slides of the "Pipeline Peak" slide complex. Other slides include the "Sydney Sidewinder" and the "Platypus Plunge" tube slides and the "Down Under Thunder" raft ride.
The water park also features three children's play areas that include the "Kangaroo Lagoon" kiddie activity pool and the zero-entry Wallaby Wharf" toddler play pool. Kids will also enjoy the "Jackeroo Landing" interactive water playground with multi-level climbing structure, pipe falls, bubblers and tipping bucket. The Factory is a 60,000 square-foot indoor amusement center that is open year round. Attractions include a Go Kart track and indoor/outdoor miniature golf courses along with an arcade and laser tag arena.
